I decided to include this piece because it showcases not only my writing ability, but also my love for helping others. It also shows how I can use my abilities as a writer and rhetor to affect the world in a positive and physical way. 

 

This proposal is the first of five parts of a project I created involving choosing a civic issue that could be solved through rhetoric. This proposal lays out my entire project, which focused on addressing the issue of invasive Burmese pythons in the Everglades. I discussed why I chose this topic, how I intended to research it, and what rhetorical methods could be used to address it.
